Lucy Lutyens

Having studied at Colchester School of Art I continued learning sculptural techniques with sculptor Miles Robinson in Suffolk. I live and work on an organic farm near Colchester and for nearly 30 years have found inspiration in the world around me and the history and people who have worked the land for generations.
My work is increasingly inspired by shapes and objects in my environment, reduced to abstract sculptural forms that more often than not have a birdlike or botanical essence.

Mostly I tend to work directly in resin, due to its robust qualities, but much of the work is then cast in bronze.

Many of the pieces work well in either indoor or outdoor spaces.
